The University will place a separate $50 Student Health Center fee, in addition to the insurance premium charge, to your student account.
St. Edward’s University 2025-2026 Spring/Summer Waiver
If you do not want the Student Health Insurance Plan, you must decline or opt-out of coverage by submitting a waiver. To qualify for a waiver, your health insurance plan must be active no later than January 1, 2026, and be ACA-compliant.
You may only opt-out of coverage during the following Waiver Periods:
Fall - 06/03/2025 - 09/09/2025
Spring/Summer - 12/02/2025 - 01/27/2026
Online Waiver Process
Please have an electronic copy of your current insurance card to submit a waiver request and follow the instructions to apply for the waiver of SHIP. Click on the link below to start your waiver.
Waiver requests MUST be submitted no later than January 27th to be considered.
