Enroll/Cost

All registered students taking six (6) or more credit hours are required to maintain health insurance. Home study, correspondence, and online courses do not fulfill the eligibility requirements. Students finishing up degree requirements through internships, practicum’s research, etc. taking three (3) or more credit hours and were previously enrolled in the Plan the prior 12 months are eligible to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan.

Graduate students in online programs taking nine (9) or more credit hours may enroll in the Plan on a voluntary basis.

Eligible dependents of those enrolled in the Plan may participate in the Plan on a voluntary basis.

 Online Graduate Students taking 9 or more credit hours are eligible to enroll in the student health insurance coverage (SHIP). Premium will be added to your tuition bill each semester you enroll. Enrollment in SHIP can only be done between the open enrollment dates listed above.

Eligible students enrolled in SHIP may also insure their dependents. Eligible dependents are the student’s legal spouse and dependent children under 26 years of age. Dependents can only be enrolled for coverage during the open enrollment periods listed above unless there is a qualifying event.
